US VISA FOR AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS
US VISA FOR SOUTH KOREAN CITIZENS
Australian citizens are generally eligible for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) when traveling to the United States for tourism or business purposes. Under the VWP, Australian citizens can enter the United States for up to 90 days without obtaining a visa, as long as they meet specific requirements. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Eligibility for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP):
- To use the VWP, you must be an Australian citizen with a valid Australian ePassport. The ePassport has an embedded electronic chip.
- Your visit must be for tourism, business, or transit purposes.
- Your stay in the United States must not exceed 90 days.
- You must have an approved Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) before boarding your flight.
2. Apply for an ESTA:
- Before traveling to the United States, you must apply for an ESTA through the official website: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/
- Complete the online ESTA application form, which includes providing personal information, passport details, travel plans, and contact information.
- Pay the required ESTA processing fee. It’s recommended to apply for ESTA well in advance of your travel dates, ideally at least 72 hours before your departure.
3. Travel to the U.S.:
- Once your ESTA is approved, you can travel to the United States for tourism or business purposes. Ensure that you have your approved ESTA documentation with you when you board your flight.
